He is reliable, trustworthy and always retains a positive outlook on events.
Relatively inexperienced, he is aware of it and regularly seeks input from those with greater knowledge than himself, regardless of rank or position.
Almost fearless, he is always willing to attempt a task and brings a high level of drive and determination.
Has a very strong sense of duty, honor, decency, sportsmanship and fair-play.

Born in 2361 on his family’s Creedmoor Estate on New Anglia, Edward became the newest member of a noble English family who traced their lineage back to the Battle of Rheims in 1486. When the Viscount Creedmoor title was bestowed on an ancestor who did valiant service in the King’s bodyguard.

His family was amongst many of the early colonists who left Earth after the Eugenics Wars in the late twentieth century. They settled on New Anglia and became successful landowners, retaining the titles and traditions of their English heritage.

The Bolingbrokes also had a tradition of military service, all of the sons and daughters were expected to follow on. Edward’s father had served in Starfleet, but it was his brother, Edward’s Uncle Gordon, who had been a Marine, and inspired the youngster to join the Corps.

When not at Boarding school on Earth his early life was spent with his younger siblings, George and Victoria, running about the countryside around the family’s estate. He learned to hunt and shoot, to rock climb, row and sail, in their teens Edward and George would go off on extended hiking and camping trips.

He completed his education and then attended Cambridge University on Earth. Where he received a Master’s in Agriculture, with secondary studies in law and economics. Edward enjoyed his studies and the excitement of campus life but his passion was for the time spent as a member of the university’s Starfleet ROTC.

With his ROTC experience he was fast tracked through the Marine Corps’ Platoon Leaders Class at SFMC Dartmouth and proceeded on to The Basic School at Camp Lejeune.

Following basic he selected Infantry Training for his specialism and attended the School of Infantry at SFMC Falklands, with advanced training at SFMC Thunder Ridge.

He graduated Second Lieutenant and spent two years with the Second Platoon, Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment. Initially the Battalion was stationed at Starbase 266. But after eight months the various companies were rotated into the fleet and Bolingbroke found himself aboard the Normandy Class Carrier USS Kittyhawk.

It was here that training became real action when the Marines were deployed to repel a Breen raiding party that had hijacked a Federation mining facility along the Breen border. Bolingbroke led his platoon on a perilous twenty kilometer hike across frozen tundra to outflank the Breen defenses and stage a secondary assault once the main force attack the facility main entrance. He was Mentioned in Dispatches for his leadership during the operation.

After two years he applied and was accepted for Marine Force Reconnaissance (FORECON) training, which began with an extensive list of training courses that included reconnaissance school, SERE school (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape), combat diving school, HALO and free fall courses. After those, he then began an arduous thirty four week course at Special Operations Training School at MCSOTS Logan City – Terra Nova.

Here he learned the skills need to undertake Special Operations missions, including Long Range Patrolling; Advanced Long Range Communications; Mobile reconnaissance; Close quarters combat; Urban Environments Combat; Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (VBSS) and shipboard assaults.

Bolingbroke also undertook additional training in Intelligence and Signals Intelligence.

His assignment to the Hawaii will be his first active Special Operations role.

In 2389 after leading one of the Boarding Parties aboard a Gorn Cruiser Bolingbroke was promoted to Captain and given command of Bravo Marine Special Operations Company.
