January 2017 Monthly Awards

Hello,

Today as one of my first duties of taking over the Hall of Honour I have the privilege of informing every one of the January Monthly Award Winners. Here are January 2017’s Player and Sim of the Month Winners.

Sim of the Month:
TF9: USS Black Hawk
TF38: USS Victory
TF72: USS Dreadnought
TF93: USS Montgomery
TF99: USS North Star

Player of the Month:
TF9: No nomination this month.
TF38: Lieutenant Simon Crewe – USS Equinox
She (Rogue) is an amazing writer. She gets inside her Counselor role and really brings the role to life. She is highly engaged and the content she contributes to is top notch. Her quality of writing, her dedication, her engagement and her sense of community is a pillar on the ship and the Task Force. She is the kind of writer every game manager wants – and every game needs! She is a creative star in her own right!
TF72: Ensgin Cailus Griffin – USS Pandora
Griffin consistently creates well-crafted, realistic, and character-focused posts for the sim, as well as having one of the highest activity levels onboard. Griffin regularly initiating posts with other players, creating storylines, providing ideas, and actively contributing to the wider sim.
TF93: Lt. Cmdr. Christopher Blake – USS Excalibur
He is not afraid to get involved with any of the crew, writing with them and never showing signs of slowing up. He also has brought in an NPC to help make our first mission more interesting to read and be a part of. He encourages other players to post and is a great Executive Officer. Outside of the game he is a great leader and genuinely cares the sim.
TF99: Commander Jeannie Sherebrook – Endeavour
Participated in over half the posts in January. She is still active even though she is very busy in life and is a pleasure to RP with.

Congratulations to all the winners this month!

2016 Player of the Year

Congratulations to the receipients, and to all of those who received Player and Sim of the Month throughout 2016. 2017 is already shaping up to be a great year. We look forward to seeing new names among the award winnners, not to mention the fantastic writing from all of our members!

November 2016 Awards

It’s overdue for yet another month, and there is no one to blame but your resident Community Relations Officer. To paraphrase Monty Python, “No one expects the Holiday Influenza!” Now that I’m at least back at a keyboard, it’s time for the awards!

Task Force 9

PotM: Ambassador Survek, USS Nogura
In the words of his CO: Thom, aka Ambassador Survek. A sneaky character with a plan to cause chaos. I cant wait to see how the plot develops when we bring in the True Way.

SotM: No nomination this month.

Task Force 38

No nominations this month.

Task Force 72

PotM: Brigadier General Paul Potter, Task Force Executive Officer
BGEN Potter (Moss) has been essential in getting the new TFCO settled into Task Force 72. He has been working tirelessly on writing ideas, canon ideas, etc down to help with the growth of Task Force 72.

SotM: No nomination this month.

Task Force 93

PotM: Sublieutenant Varuh, IRW Imperiax
He was really proactive this month in advancing his own personal storyline and he helped us achieve our goal for posts in November by contributing to a total of six posts.

SotM: USS Excalibur
They are new to Bravo Fleet, having started late in September but after two short months, they are starting to look like they’ll be a fine addition to the fleet.

Task Force 99

PotM: Lieutenant Alex Rho, USS Triumphant
He has brought his character to life both on and off duty and he is seeking to advance the story and help others out with both his PC and NPC.

SotM: USS Devonshire
The sim amazingly became active in the same month it changed from a Fiction to a full Sim. The crew is already energized and the first mission is moving forward.

To those who are recognized, congratulations! Happy Holidays to all!

October 2016 Awards

The Hall of Honour, along with the Task Force Commanding Officers, are pleased to announce the following recipients of our monthly awards.

Players of the Month

Task Force 9
Ensign Georoni Mykol, Chief Science Officer, USS Nogura
In the words of his CO: “David joined us this month and took the opportunity to jump into the plot at the very first opportunity. Since then, he hasn’t looked back. He is posting with others and on his own, he tried to save the Captain’s symbiont before it died and he has been in regular contact with myself about how he can help the sim. A very welcome addition indeed!”

Task Force 38
Commander Paul Toddman, Chief Operations Officer, USS Arizona
His enthusiasm has translated to the second highest posting numbers, aside from the ship’s Commanding Officer, and he has engaged with each and every member of the crew that he could.

Task Force 72
No nomination this month.

Task Force 93
Lieutenant JG Gillian Carter, Chief Medical Officer, USS Excalibur
Over the last couple of months, Loraine has been a big part of the medical team, taking over when the last Chief Medical Officer stopped posting and since then, Loraine has really taken it in her strides the leadership that exemplifies what a senior officer should be both in character and out of character.

Task Force 99
Ensign Robyn Maxwell, Medical Officer, USS Hyerdahl
Robyn is nominated for player of the month for her assistance with OOC sim duties, her interesting, well written and in-depth and expertise as a medical officer. She her presence is an invaluable contribution to the sim.

Simulations of the Month

Task Force 9
USS Vindex
From the first day it was clear the Vindex was a sim with great potential. However, unlike many other sims that saw early activity die down quickly, the Vindex has managed to transform the early rush into a sustained acitivity. The Vindex is regularly at the top of the charts in both quality and quantity and is proving itself an exemplary sim.

Task Force 38
USS Boise
The Boise is a young, but incredibly strong simulation, which we can’t wait to see more of in the coming months.

Task Force 72
No nomination this month.

Task Force 93
USS Tornado
With 20 some members at any given time, this starship shows no sign of slowing and is a leading example of what Bravo Fleet could and should be. Though sometimes real life claims a member of two, a new face is usually followed by several more joining the crew.

Task Force 99
USS New Hampshire
They have doubled their post count from the previous month, added a new member, and are moving forward with their mission.

Congratulations to all those recognized!

September 2016 Awards

The Hall of Honour, along with the Task Force Commanding Officers, are pleased to announce the following recipients of our monthly awards.

Players of the Month

Task Force 9
Lieutenant JG Tehja Oldan, Chief of Tactical / Security, USS Jericho
From her Captain: “We have been role-playing together for many, many years and I can always count on her to help me push through some difficult and slow posts. She certainly helped in this regard with our most recent post in the Jericho. I value her greatly on all of my ships. She’s a great writer who is very knowledgeable about Star Trek.”
Task Force 38
Lt. Commander Janey Glyndar, USS Hammersley
Janet Glyndar has been an invaluable asset to the Hammersley, assisting the CO in the role of Acting XO and has helped implement many changes and mission ideas that are helping move things along.

Task Force 72
No nomination this month.

Task Force 93
Lieutenant Caradan Eundias, Chief Engineer, USS Tornado
Lt. Eundias has more than proven himself an excellent writer with his creation of Caradan, a Founder/Changeling who has joined the United Federation of Planets and gone through Starfleet Academy. Writing a shape shifter can be challenging as you face more than the discrimination in character of certain crew members, but sometimes even the scrutiny of fellow writers out of character who are curious what you can do with a member of a species that nearly brought the Federation to its knees. We are blessed to have Brad and his character in Task Force 93.

Task Force 99
Ensign Solok, Armory Officer, NX Endeavour
Ensign Solok replies to posts promptly and really wants to be involved in the many facets of everyday life on the ship. He has really come a long way since first joining the ship several months ago.

Simulations of the Month

Task Force 9
USS Black Hawk
Recognized for their fervent activity and incredible writing, a fine example of the strong writing throughout Task Force 9 as a whole.

Task Force 38
No nomination this month.

Task Force 72

August 2016 Monthly Awards

Wow! August was an incredible month! We at the Hall of Honour, in conjunction with every Task Force Commanding Officer, are please to announce the following winners.

Players of the Month

Task Force 9
Lieutenant Joey Corwin (Assistant Chief of Security, USS Black Hawk)

Since joining, Lieutenant Corwin has been an incredible joy to write with. She isn’t one to shy away from a JP from anyone, nor is she one to shy away from danger. Every post she touches magically turns into an awesome contribution to the narrative of the USS Black Hawk.

Task Force 38
Lieutenant Cassandra Sanders (Chief Counselor, USS Victory-A)
She consistently posts great posts that provide an awesome diversion from the action posts of the simulation and engross you from start to finish.

Task Force 72
Potm72
No nomination this month

Task Force 93
Lieutenant Ibrim Daka (Chief Engineer, SS Star of India)
Lt. Ibrim Dakar was nominated for his exceptionally talented writing skills, taking on a Cardassian character with such style and determination. He does the character and this species due justice in his writing. If his writing alone were not enough to deserve this award, then his stepping up to take on researching and developing Specs for the SS Star of India is the icing on the cake.

Task Force 99
Lieutenant Martha Cusack (Chief Tactical Officer, USS Triumphant)
He has jumped in from the word go with both his PC and NPC characters in a variety of posts and is encouraging others.

Simulations of the Month

Task Force 9
USS Jericho
The Jericho has been a main staple of Task Force 9 for several years now. Sticking with a Task Force that has undergone multiple changes speaks pretty loudly for dedication and hard work. Though she may not be putting posts like a power house, the Jericho is under good command and has solid grounding in TF9, not to mention the wonderful universe they are exploring.

Task Force 38
USS Hammersley
The Hammersley receives this honor for a second month in a row. Her crew are not only very active, but they consistenly produce coherent and engaging stories for all to read.

Task Force 72
Starbase 218
This has been their first month in Bravo Fleet, and already they are showing that it was a good decision to welcome them into the fleet. Between a unique site and skin, and an impressive storyline, this fledgling crew are already making a mark for themselves in the fleet.

Task Force 93
SS Star of India
This simulation is taking a unique approach to the world of Star Trek, one exploring merchant marines and telling wonderful and thoughtful stories of areas never before explored.

Task Force 99
USS Triumphant
From the short time they have been in Task Force 99 and Bravo Fleet, the USS Triumphant and her crew have been active both posting and getting new members. She currently has a good story in progress and has been a very interesting read thus far.

Congratulations to each of our winners. We look forward to the next month to showcase more amazing talent from the fleet!

June 2016 Monthly Awards

The Hall of Honours team is proud to congratulate the following players on being awarded the Player of the Month award for June 2016. The Player of the Month (of a Task Force) has shown superior roleplaying ability for the past month. They are nominated by their respective CO upon which the award is issued on behalf of the TFCO by the Hall of Honour, so it is important that you get your nominations in each month. Can we all please congratulate these fine simmers in our community on being named June 2016 Players of the Month?
Task Force 9 Player of the Month: Major Jason Hearnes, USS Triton
For showing incredible dedication to keep the USS Triton an active ship in the Task Force.

Task Force 38 Player of the Month: Lieutenant JG Shartaan Lonewolf, Chief Operations Officer, USS Equinox
Karo is an amazing writer; she takes elements of a First Nation ancestry and builds an amazingly dynamic and interesting character. She is heavily involved in mainstream JPs on the Equinox while actively participates to build her character with solo posts and side JPs. She is highly active and contributes greatly. Her characters even experiment with language and dialects with is a thrill to witness. Her NCPs are always so much fun to interact with!

Task Force 72 Player of the Month: Patrick (aka Commander Lora Kisewe), USS Argonaut
Task Force 72 would like to posthumously nominate Patrick (aka Commander Lora Kisewe) for this award. While something as small as a little ribbon may not bring comfort to Patrick’s family and friends at his sad passing, Bravo Fleet is a family, and we welcomed Patrick back to our fleet after some months away. Having discussions with him when he took on the command himself, he was very enjoying his time on the USS Argonaut and took on the reins of command when it looked very likely that the simulation would shut down mere months after the previous Commanding Officer took command, but Patrick took on the challenge of bringing the USS Argonaut into the success it was hopefully destined for. I know that personally I had had some rough times with Patrick as a player, but when he wrote, he wrote with such detail and description and he was a pleasure to write with. We will never know what Patrick could have done with the USS Argonaut. We are all saddened by his passing, and the thoughts and prayers of all of us are with Patrick’s family and friends during this sad time.

Task Force 93 Player of the Month: Lt Cdr Calvin Hall, Deep Space 14
Based on CO nomination helping keep the storyline moving forward and organized

Task Force 99 Player of the Month: Marine Captain McMicheals, Starbase 400
(In the words of the CO): I’ve been asked by members of SB400 to nomination Travis Cline (Marine Captain McMichaels) for the TF99 Player of the Month; For showing both off, and on game initiative for the previous month with both excellent posting, and off game ideas in an effort to improve the StarBase 400 Marine element. Travis has been great addition to SB400.

The Hall of Honours team is proud to congratulate the following simulations on being awarded the Simulation of the Month award for June 2016. The Simulation of the Month (of a Task Force) is awarded to a simulation for its contribution to the Task Force canon, activity, quality, number of players and others. All simulations in a Task Force are automatically considered for this award however nominations are sought from fellow CO’s. It is awarded by the Hall of Honour on behalf of the TFCO, so it is important that you get your nominations in each month. Can we all please congratulate these fine simulations in our community on being named June 2016 Simulations of the Month. Your awards will shortly be confirmed to you all on the Bravo Fleet Wiki.

Task Force 9 Simulation of the Month: USS Vindex
The Vindex is a newcomer to the Task Force and Fleet but has already shown itself an excellent simulation. Both the CO and the crew have done incredible work to make the sim a success.

Task Force 72 Simulation of the Month: SS Boreas
I am happy to nominate the SS Boreas for the award this month. Since they received the award last time, they have kept on going from strength to strength, and I am always impressed to see what they get up to. The Commanding Officer may not be the most active on the forums, but it seems that he takes all the time we would spend on the forums, to focus just on his simulation. I’m not sure if he has any other characters around the fleet, but if he does, he is one person who can keep going and still find all the time to write amazing stories on the SS Boreas, and it most certainly is a pushover for a civilian simulation. They are consistently posting high numbers each month, and while post count is just one aspect, I also am impressed with the quality of their posts, they are always very descriptive and detailed and a quite look at their website, there are very few solo posts, showing me that the crew love working together and love being part of a team. Well done SS Boreas again!

Task Force 93 Simulation of the Month: USS Venture
For being an active member of Task Force 93 and keeping the storyline going. Also, the majority of the Task Force nominated the USS Venture so well done.

Task Force 99 Simulation of the Month: USS Carpathia, Alternative Division
Over the past month, the USS Carpathia has shown great improvement, has been actively posting moving the story across. They been an interesting read and enjoying how their mission is playing out.

Congratulations to all the winners, and we apologize for getting this out so later then usual.

May 2016 Monthly Awards

Simulations of the Month

The Hall of Honours team is proud to congratulate the following simulations on being awarded the Simulation of the Month award for May 2016. The Simulation of the Month (of a Task Force) is awarded to a simulation for its contribution to the Task Force canon, activity, quality, number of players and others.

Task Force 9 Simulation of the Month: USS Valcour, Sentinel Group

The Valcour has shown itself as an impressive new addition to the Task Force. Whereas it started off slow they have made more than up for it putting out a very healthy posting pace and displaying a great professionalism. The ship is set to achieve great things if they continue their current pace and I am glad to have it be a part of Task Force 9(TFCO nomination)
Task Force 38 Simulation of the Month: USS Equinox, Command Group
This sim has been active for so little time frame but still has one of the best posting rates and overall they have the strongest writers who all work well together. I have never seen a sim that could work this well together this quickly.
Task Force 72 Simulation of the Month: Deep Space 7, Command Group
(Task Force Executive Officer Nomination) Task Force 72 is proud to nominate Deep Space 7 for this award this month. They have been working so hard to get to where they are, and they have really made an effort this month. I have heard all the time from Leam how hard it has been to keep Deep Space 7 going as an active simulation with people not wanting to post, or people joining and then going AWOL, he has really made an effort to be there for the crew, to be there for the simulation, and all while running an entire Task Force. Most other Task Force HQ’s are fiction-based, allowing the Task Force Commanding Officer the time to focus on the Task Force and write when they can, but Leam didn’t want that, he wanted writers to be involved in the Task Force storyline from the very beginning, the start of it all, the epicentre of the Task Force, and I think Deep Space 7 is just that and they are doing so well and I know they will keep on getting better and better.
Task Force 93 Simulation of the Month: IRV Imperiax, Astraeus Group
(nominated by USS Tornado): Being a member of the ship itself, I nominate IRV Imperiax for their large contribution of the Romulan Star Empire side of the story. JP is doing a great job of telling us that story!
Task Force 99 Simulation of the Month: Endeavour, NX-06, NX Division
I am choosing to nominate the Endeavour for Sim of the Month, they are active and have a great storyline going. They have a great group of writers that help bring this sim together, be able to write stories that are interesting to read. The Endeavour has a long history, and dedication of the Commanding Officer over the past several years. Keep it up! Continue to write those great stories that are interesting to read.

Players of the Month

The Hall of Honours team is proud to congratulate the following players on being awarded the Player of the Month award for May 2016. The Player of the Month (of a Task Force) has shown superior roleplaying ability for the past month.
Task Force 9 Player of the Month: Lieutenant Camila di Pasquale, USS Black Hawk
Lieutenant Camila di Pasquale of the USS Black Hawk (in the words of her own CO) “I nominate BJ who plays Lieutenant Di Pasquale. She’s been a part of the Black Hawk crew for the last few months and has stuck with us in spite of the rough waters any sim faces these days. When you read her writing, you can easily see why she deserves this award. Her characters come to life in every post and you quickly find yourself thinking you’ve known her characters all your life. She’s even done a lot to help develop the sim from an OOC role and is heavily involved in fleshing out the future of the Black Hawk.”
Task Force 38 Player of the Month: Lieutenant Archibald Harrington, USS Akagi
For helping to keep the storyline moving of USS Akagi.
Task Force 72 Player of the Month: Dr. Farkas Vanth D.V.M., M.D, USS Hope
Task Force 72 is proud to Dr. Farkas Vanth D.V.M., M.D. (Chief Medical Officer & Second Officer, USS Hope). I’ve seen over the last couple of months the hard work and dedication and effort that everyone on the USS Hope has been giving to get things moving. It can’t be easy for any simulation, let alone a speciality simulation like the USS Hope, but the fine Doctor, played by P.J. has really made an effort to get things moving. He has taken the lead in building ideas within missions and leading sub-plots, he has been there to support the other crewmembers and from what I have heard, never afraid to jump into a post with someone to get some writing done. As his Commanding Officer said; “this nomination is a long time coming. He is the only one who stayed when I took over the USS Hope. He has also worked hard to insure that the medical jargon is understood and how the alien virus works, to make some sort of logical sense to it all and he has done an amazing job with it all”
Task Force 93 Player of the Month: Sublieutenant Varuh tr’Krell, IRV Imperiax
My nomination for player of the month goes to Michael who plays Sublieutenant Varuh tr’Krell, my Leader of Singularity Control. He, as always, is one of the most active players on the Imperiax and you can just tell that he’s very enthusiastic about playing a Romulan character. He dedicates alot of time and effort into all of the writing he does and has even gone out of his way in previous months to try and liven up the ship’s crew by creating a multitude of NPCs. He also plays several other NPCs in other departments. I truly enjoy having him on my ship and he is a great asset.
Task Force 99 Player of the Month: Lieutenant Jonah Tyler, Endeavour, NX-06
(In his CO’s words)My nomination for player of the month goes to Coop who plays Lieutenant Junior Grade Jonah Taylor, Endeavour’s Chief Science Officer. Of the nine posts we did this month, he worked on six of them. As well as being a great writer, Coop is always enthusiastic to get involved in the mission and has created NPCs in other departments to help achieve this. I’ve commended him numerous times already but he really deserves it. He shows that he wants to write and role-play with the rest of us and he’s pretty good at it.

January 2016 Simulations of the Month

The Hall of Honours team is proud to congratulate the following simulations on being awarded the Simulation of the Month award for January 2016. The Simulation of the Month (of a Task Force) is awarded to a simulation for its contribution to the Task Force canon, activity, quality, number of players and others. All simulations in a Task Force are automatically considered for this award however nominations are sought from fellow CO’s. Can we all please congratulate these fine simulations in our community on being named January 2016 Simulations of the Month. Your awards will shortly be confirmed to you all on the Bravo Fleet Wiki and we will look into doing some nice banners to allow you to show off your award.

Task Force 9 Simulation of the Month – USS Nogura
The USS Nogura has been with us for a few months now and she has shown herself a great addition to the Task Force. By contributing directly to the canon, showing great activity and producing interesting story she more than deserves the award.

Task Force 38 Simulation of the Month – No Nomination

Task Force 72 Simulation of the Month – – USS Argonaut
I am nominating the USS Argonaut for this award, they have really impressed me since joining Task Force 72. They have really hit the ground running and it’s nice to see a ship get active as quickly as they have. In this day and age when posting seems to be getting harder and recruitment seems to be getting harder, the Argonaut has really been pushing the teamwork and they have quite a good range of solo and joint mission posts. The posts that are coming out are of a good quality and they are well worth a read.

Task Force 93 Simulation of the Month – Kovar Station, Command Group
Kovar Station executed a successful merge of Starbase 611 and Camp Kovar this past month. This move, proposed and organized by Leah, provides greater clarity and leadership around the story of the Raeyan Sector.

Task Force 99 Simulation of the Month – NX-06 Endeavour, NX Division
This month’s Sim of the Month Award for Task Force 99 goes to the NX-06 Endeavour. The Endeavour has continued to impress me with it’s activity and it’s stamina, being one of the strongest simulations Task Force 99 has ever seen. They truly deserve to be recognized for all the beautiful writing they do!

January 2016 Players of the Month

The Hall of Honours team is proud to congratulate the following players on being awarded the Player of the Month award for January 2016. The Player of the Month (of a Task Force) has shown superior roleplaying ability for the past month. Can we all please congratulate these fine simmers in our community on being named January 2016 Players of the Month. Your awards will shortly be confirmed to you all on the Bravo Fleet Wiki.

Task Force 9 Player of the Month – Lieutenant JG Martha Cusack, USS Nogura
James aka Lieutenant JG Martha Cusack, USS Nogura. James has in the past month shown himself a great poster, being responsible with another player for the large majority of posts made on the sim in the past month. His characters are well developed and his stories a pleasure to read.

Task Force 38 Player of the Month – No Nomination

Task Force 72 Player of the Month – No Nomination

Task Force 93 Player of the Month – Lieutenant Commander Tyller Fallon, USS Ajax
Fallon, who plays Lt. Cdr. Tyller Fallon (USS Ajax) and Lt. Col. Adam Stone (Kovar Station), is an active posted and plays a key role in the stories of both sims. According to Leah, “he has been a huge help to me keeping Kovar Station (and Camp Kovar) going.”

Task Force 99 Player of the Month – Major Glenn Walker, NX-06 Endeavour
From the Endeavor’s CO: For January I am nominating Steve who plays two characters on Endeavour. Major Glenn Walker, and Doctor Louise Rigby. He’s been really active in this mission with both characters and he’s just really demonstrating how much he loves the era that we’re playing in. He’s one of my top men in the sim.

December 2015 Players of the Month

The Hall of Honours team is proud to congratulate the following players on being awarded the Player of the Month award for December 2015. The Player of the Month (of a Task Force) has shown superior roleplaying ability for the past month. They are nominated by their respective CO upon which the award is issued on behalf of the TFCO by the Hall of Honour, so it is important that you get your nominations in each month. Can we all please congratulate these fine simmers in our community on being named December 2015 Players of the Month. Your awards will shortly be confirmed to you all on the Bravo Fleet Wiki.

Task Force 9 Player of the Month – Lieutenant Edward Carmichael, USS Scorpio (TFCO Nomination)
Ezra a.k.a. Lieutenant Edward Carmichael, USS Scorpio, is one of the most recent additions to the Scorpio but in his short time he has shown himself to be an excellent writer with a great attitude and who consistently puts out excellent writing.

Task Force 38 Player of the Month – No Nomination

Task Force 72 Player of the Month – Lieutenant Nicole “Nikki” Redex, Deep Space 7
I am nominating Lieutenant Nicole “Nikki” Redex, Chief of Emergency from Deep Space 7 for this award. In the last month, with most simulations slowing down for the holidays; I have personally seen Candy work even harder to make sure that her character is known to everyone. The simulation has really been made a lot different because of her presence.

Task Force 93 Player of the Month – Petty Officer 3rd Class Lumo Elnora, USS Venture
James, also known as Petty Officer 3rd Class Lumo Elnora, was nominated by the USS Venture’s Commanding Officer for “helping to improve the site and decrease confusion.” With the Venture’s story receiving praise from others in the Task Force, it is only fitting that we recognize James for proactively seeking out and helping address OOC needs aboard the venture.

Task Force 99 Player of the Month – Chief Petty Officer Monika Boyan, USS Delphinus
TF99’s Player of the Month award goes to Larry (CPO Boyan). Ever since joining the Delphinus, Larry has jumped right in and found many opportunities to contribute. The sim’s CO loves that he, as Chief Helmsman which is an oft-overlooked position, has brought his character to life in a very unique way.
